Frequently asked questions

What is the current EPF rate?

EPFO declares the rate each financial year. 8.25% was declared for FY 2024-25; change the rate field to the latest declared figure.

Why only 3.67% from the employer?

Of the employer's 12%, 8.33% (on wages up to ₹15,000) goes to the Employees' Pension Scheme and the rest to EPF.

Results are estimates for planning, not financial, tax or investment advice. Rates and rules change — confirm with your bank, the scheme's official notice or a CA. Last reviewed 13 October 2026.
